What is PPC?

PPC (Pay Per Click) is an internet advertising module that is used on the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN, advertising websites and blogs.
It works by the advertiser placing an ad on one of these platforms and they only pay when a user actually clicks on their ad taking them to a page that is relevant to the key phase they have typed in. The advertiser has a pool of keywords which their ads appear for making PPC an effective and cost efficient form of advertisement.
Each keyword has a minimum CPC (cost per click) and prices vary depending on the search engine and the level of competition for a particular phrase or keyword list. The more popular the keyword then the more competition will want their ads to appear. Prices vary from as little as £0.03 per click right up to several pounds per click!
